Structural Engineer - 5 Months Contract

We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to support the review, coordination, and delivery of structural engineering works across building and construction projects.

The role will involve reviewing designs, drawings, submittals, RFIs, materials, variations, and construction documentation while coordinating closely with project teams, BIM technicians, contractors, and consultants to ensure quality, compliance, and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Review structural drawings, specifications, reports, and engineering designs.Review technical submittals and ensure comments are properly addressed.Respond to RFIs and support resolution of technical queries.Attend project meetings and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.Review materials and recommend suitable alternatives where required.Review variations and provide technical input.Apply structural engineering principles across common building materials.Review construction documentation and engineering submittals.Assess design suitability and recommend changes during the engineering phase.Support coordination of structural drawings to ensure constructability and consistency.Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures throughout project execution.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical and cost-effective solutions.Support Project Managers in monitoring progress and resolving technical issues.Manage BIM technicians and mentor graduate engineers.Conduct structural inspections and prepare reports on construction or material defects.Recommend appropriate remedial actions where required.Ensure proper document control and technical record management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.Relevant experience in structural engineering, design review, or construction supervision.Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and common building materials.Experience reviewing drawings, RFIs, submittals, technical documents, and variations.Good understanding of QA/QC processes.Experience with structural inspections and defect reporting.Strong report writing and documentation skills.Good coordination and stakeholder-management ability.Experience managing BIM technicians or mentoring junior engineers is preferred.Strong communication and teamwork skills.
