Job Function: Maintenance Experience, plant automation systems such as ABB Pro-control, Yokogawa Centum, and Siemens S7, manage related aspects of instrument and control maintenance including setup, configuration, and routine check

Responsibilities

Develop a thorough understanding of plant automation systems including ABB Procontrol, ABB Advant, Yokogawa Centum, Emerson Ovation, ALSPA EDCS, Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley PLC, and Mitsubishi PLC.

Conduct routine, breakdown-shutdown, and planned maintenance activities by coordinating with team members to ensure efficient scheduling and resource allocation.

Perform instrument and control maintenance activities, addressing both planned and unplanned jobs across DCS, PLC, valve actuators, positioners, transmitters, switches, sensors, analysers, servers, and HMIs.

Set up, configure, and maintain various plant instrumentation equipment such as positioners, analysers, transmitters, and control systems.

Follow and enforce safety standard operating procedures during all maintenance tasks, ensuring that all tools and work environments comply with safety regulations.

Collaborate with the teams to assess the availability and reliability of equipment/unit post-maintenance, aiming to maintain optimal quality and quantity of work.

Support in conducting root cause analysis and troubleshooting for shutdowns and breakdowns, identifying opportunities for system improvements and enhancements.

Analyse plant performance to propose evidence-based corrections or enhancements to processes or equipment, ensuring preservation of installed equipment.

Respond to emergency call-outs and support operations around the clock, ensuring readiness for immediate action on short notice.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a reputable university is required (Mandatory).

8 years of experience in similar roles in large companies within the Energy or Power sector is mandatory.

The turbine control systems and operating platforms they have practical experience with, such as: GE Mark V, Mark VI, Mark VIe, Siemens T3000, Alstom/ABB Procontrol, Emerson Ovation, Yokogawa Centum and Other turbine and plant control systems

Good level of involvement in turbine control and instrumentation activities, including maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, loop checks, commissioning, system modifications, and control logic implementation.

Experience related to Gas Turbine (GT), Steam Turbine (ST), Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP), or other power generation technologies.

Good understanding of power/energy and water sectors, emerging trends and technologies.

Demonstrated hands-on operational and implementation experience.

Demonstrated problem-solving ability and analytical thinking skills.

English proficiency (Mandatory), while Arabic language skills are a plus.
