3DCS Engineer

3DCS- Tolerance Stack up Analyst:

Key Responsibilities:

Perform dimensional analysis and support quality control processes to ensure product compliance.

Develop and manage tolerance stacks to verify fit and functional integrity.

Interpret and review engineering drawings and specifications for design compliance.

Support simulation activities to validate process, design, tooling, and structural integrity.

Build and maintain 3DCS tolerance simulation/analysis models.

Collaborate with customers, onsite and plant teams to develop GD&T standards.

Apply tolerance stack analysis methods such as:

Worst-Case Analysis

Root Sum Squared (RSS) Analysis

Monte Carlo Simulation

Work closely with quality assurance teams to resolve dimensional issues and enhance manufacturing processes.

Document simulation processes, assumptions, and results in detail.

Prepare and present comprehensive reports to communicate findings and recommendations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.

3+ years of experience in dimensional engineering or tolerance analysis.

Proficiency in 3DCS, Catia V5, GD&T, and tolerance stack methodologies.

Strong understanding of engineering drawings, CAD tools, and quality systems.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Experience working in an automotive or manufacturing environment is preferred.
