Role:OrbicTrade is an AI-enabled front-office and risk platform built specifically for commodity traders. It captures deal intent at source, turns it into structured, integration-ready trades, and connects with existing CTRM, ERP and data platforms.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our growing product team in Dubai.

Requirements

You will build the services behind OrbicTrade: AI extraction, trade workflow, validation, integration and risk. Trades pass through these services on their way into clients' core systems, so accuracy, auditability and recovery matter as much as speed.

You will work closely with front-end engineers, business analysts, application support and client technology teams. This is a hands-on role covering design, development and production ownership.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain secure, scalable backend services and REST APIs

Develop the AI extraction pipeline that turns emails, chats and documents into structured trade data

Implement grounding, validation and confidence scoring using reference data and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)

Build workflow services for review, four-eyes approval, confirmations, amendments and trade versioning

Develop integrations with CTRM, ERP, contract-management, market-data and data-lake platforms

Build asynchronous processing with queues, webhooks, retries, idempotency and reconciliation

Design and maintain PostgreSQL data models, including the canonical trade model and audit trail

Support the VaR module, including position feeds, market data and overnight risk runs

Run services on AWS using containers, with secure deployment patterns that also suit client-hosted AWS or Azure environments

Build logging, monitoring and alerting into every service

Apply secure engineering practices across authentication, authorisation, encryption and secrets management

Write automated tests and maintain CI/CD pipelines

Support root-cause analysis and resolution of production issues as L3 escalation

Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to other developers

Required Experience

At least 7 years of hands-on backend development experience

Strong development experience in Python, with frameworks such as FastAPI

Experience designing and operating REST APIs and event-driven or asynchronous systems

Strong SQL and PostgreSQL skills, including data modelling and performance tuning

Production experience on AWS, including ECS or similar, Aurora, S3, IAM, KMS and Secrets Manager

Experience with Docker, CI/CD and infrastructure as code

Experience integrating enterprise systems, including mapping, error handling and reconciliation

Experience with OAuth2, role-based access control and secure coding practices

Experience supporting production systems and troubleshooting complex technical issues

Experience with automated testing, version control and structured software-development processes

Preferred Experience

Experience building LLM applications, using services such as Amazon Bedrock or Azure OpenAI

Experience with RAG, prompt evaluation and measuring extraction accuracy

This role focuses on building scalable ingestion pipelines, optimizing performance, and ensuring compliance with architectural and data assurance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Data Ingestion Development

Build and implement AWS Glue jobs for Bronze layer ingestion using defined standards and templates.

Implement correct loading methods based on source requirements (CDC, full load, delta, snapshot).

Design and execute historical loading mechanisms to bring legacy data into the Lakehouse.

Performance Optimization

Optimize Glue job performance (DPU allocation, parallelization, partitioning) according to best practices.

Collaborate with platform teams to ensure tooling and optimization alignment.

Migration & Automation

Aggressively migrate source tables to Bronze layer, initially using manual approaches with standards/templates, later leveraging AI-enabled acceleration.

Ensure jobs are version-controlled and production deployment is automated via Git and Terraform.

Governance & Monitoring

Implement source system connectivity into CDP in collaboration with source system owners.

Ensure jobs comply with data contracts and are properly monitored.

Prepare documentation and handover to operational support teams.

Collaboration

Work closely with Data Architect for ingestion patterns and standards.

Coordinate with Data Assurance Lead to apply quality checks across all jobs.

Partner with platform engineers for tooling and optimization.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

Strong experience in AWS Glue, PySpark, and ETL pipeline development.

Knowledge of Lakehouse architecture and Medallion design principles.

Familiarity with CDC, delta loads, and historical data ingestion strategies.

Tools & Technologies

AWS services: Glue, S3, Athena, Lambda.

Git, Terraform for CI/CD automation.

Understanding of data quality frameworks (e.g., Soda Core) is a plus.

Able to identify ways to automate their work / repetitive tasks.

Soft Skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver aggressive migration targets.

Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Work with Jira and agile way of working.

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years in data engineering roles, with hands-on experience in AWS Glue.

What we're looking for

7+ years building and operating production systems, including 2+ years shipping generative AI or agentic applications to real users.

Strong hands on engineering across the stack. TypeScript or Go on the backend, React or an equivalent framework on the frontend.

Deep applied AI experience: RAG, tool use, agentic workflows, and MCP, run in production with proper evaluation, observability, and cost control.

Hands-on experience with leading AI platforms and models such as AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, and Anthropic Claude.

Experience integrating with messy third party systems: CRMs, APIs, data exports, and everything in between.

A data driven mindset. You form hypotheses, measure results, and let evidence decide.

Deep curiosity and an eagerness to learn. AI moves fast, and you move with it.

Clear communication with technical and non technical audiences, from individual agents to business owners. This is a customer facing role. A significant share of your time will be spent working directly with customers, in person and remote.

Nice to have

Experience in real estate, proptech, marketplaces, or classifieds.

Prior forward deployed, solutions engineering, or technical consulting experience.

Experience using generative AI image / video tools to turn data, insights or reports into polished, shareable visual assets at scale.

Arabic language skills.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an ambitious, results-driven Outbound Account Executive to join our high-performing sales team in Al Khobar. This is more than a sales role - it's an opportunity to be a trusted advisor to growing Saudi businesses, helping them solve their most critical HR challenges while directly contributing to Jisr's rapid expansion.

As an Outbound AE, you'll own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, working with companies across diverse industries. You'll be the face of Jisr to your prospects, combining strategic thinking with consultative selling to deliver transformational HR solutions that make a real impact.

What You'll Do

Drive Revenue Growth

Own and close your quarterly sales targets, managing a pipeline of medium to large opportunities

Generate your own pipeline through strategic outbound prospecting, networking, and relationship building - No leads will be assigned through inbound channels

Deal mainly with HR, Finance and IT Manager

Be a Trusted Advisor

Conduct deep discovery sessions to understand your prospects' unique HR challenges, business goals, and pain points around compliance, payroll, and workforce management

Demonstrate how Jisr's platform can transform their HR operations with tailored, solution-oriented presentations and product demos

Act as a strategic partner by helping customers navigate critical decisions related to digital transformation, Saudi Labor Law compliance (GOSI, Mudad, WPS), and HR automation

Master the Sales Process

Maintain meticulous pipeline hygiene in our CRM, providing accurate weekly forecasts and clear visibility into your book of business

Collaborate cross-functionally with Revenue Ops, Implementation, Customer Success, and Finance teams to ensure seamless customer experiences

Conduct in-person meetings and territory visits regularly, building strong face-to-face relationships with prospects and customers

Expand Market Presence

Develop and execute a comprehensive plan to penetrate your assigned market segment

Represent Jisr at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings, positioning us as thought leaders in HR technology

Identify market trends, competitive insights, and customer feedback to inform product development and go-to-market strategies

What We're Looking For
