The Engineering Technical Services (ETS) department ensures optimal performance for one of the world's most advanced aircraft fleets. We focus on fleet technical management, airworthiness, and technical support to uphold safety, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and passenger comfort.

Our skilled Engineers work closely with manufacturers and vendors to advance aircraft technologies. ETS includes Fleet Technical Management, GCAA/EASA Design Organisation, Maintenance Programmes & Configuration, and Technical Publications. As a Design Engineer you will be responsible to prepare, check, approve design and substantiation data for modifications and repairs on large aeroplanes in accordance with the applicable regulatory requirements, Emirates Design Organisation Handbook, and related Procedures.

In This Role You Will

Be part of design engineering activities within the terms of Emirates Design Organisation approval, as specified in the approval certificate and Design Organisation Handbook. Preparation of Classification of changes to type certificate and repairs designed by the organisation. Preparation of compliance inspections and compile certification test plans, as required.

Provide on-site support during the implementation of changes/repairs. Preparation of compliance checklist and update as required. Provide support and expertise to other Technical Services personnel, working on minor/major design changes or repairs. Qualification

To be considered for the role you must meet the below requirements:

Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Aeronautical / Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronics Engineering or equivalent.

At least 5 years of experience in Engineering in aerospace industry, of which at least 3 years in an EASA Part 21 or GCAA CAR 21 Design Organisation, preferably holding Major change/STC approval.

Experience in Transport category Aeroplanes.

Wide Body aircraft experience especially on Emirates fleet types is preferred.

Experience as a Design Engineer (DE) and previous CVE experience is a plus.

Knowledge of EASA Part 21.J and GCAA CAR 21 regulatory requirements, including CS-25, CS-26, (E)TSO, and CFR Part 25.

Role:Project Coordinator

The Project

Supporting the successful delivery of major aviation projects in a live airport environment, coordinating stakeholders, interfaces and operational integration. Embedded within the client organisation, the role enables safe and efficient transition from construction through testing, commissioning, operational readiness, activation and handover.

You’ll Be Responsible For

You will manage delivery from project inception/brief, through design development and planning, contractor procurement and construction phase in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones.

You will manage tasks and associated deliverables in support of the Associate Director and other senior leaders, alongside the wider project and client teams, to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the project.

You will manage design and wider consultant teams in a collaborative manner to ensure effective completion of responsibilities.

You will lead and manage the project team and relevant stakeholders to achieve strategic project key performance indicators (KPIs).

Your Responsibilities

You will actively network, innovate, and seek understanding of best practice, utilising the full depth of knowledge of Mace Group, the Centres of Excellence, Mace Way Control Centre and Knowledge Hub.

Support the planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of airport development and enhancement projects.

Coordinate project activities across multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment with programme objectives and operational requirements.

Maintain project trackers, action logs, risk registers, and decision registers.

Monitor progress against key milestones and support escalation of critical issues.

Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and management updates for senior stakeholders.

ORAT Coordination

Support the implementation of Operational Readiness, Activation and Transition (ORAT) activities across project workstreams.

Coordinate operational readiness plans, trials, simulations, training, familiarisation exercises, and transition activities.

Ensure operational stakeholders are engaged throughout the project lifecycle and readiness requirements are incorporated into project delivery.

Support integration between construction, commissioning, testing, and operational activation programmes.

Facilitate readiness reviews and track operational readiness actions to closure.

Stakeholder Management

Act as a central point of coordination between airport operations, airline representatives, government entities, consultants, contractors, and project teams.

Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Organise and facilitate stakeholder workshops, technical meetings, coordination forums, and operational readiness sessions.

Ensure actions, decisions, and stakeholder commitments are effectively tracked and managed.

Interface Management

Coordinate interfaces between multiple project packages and operational stakeholders.

Identify interface risks and proactively facilitate resolution of potential conflicts.

Support alignment between construction activities and live operational constraints.

Coordinate approvals, reviews, and information exchanges between project participants.

Operational Integration & Handover

Support development of transition and handover plans.

Coordinate testing, commissioning, operational acceptance, and handover activities.

Ensure operational documentation, training records, procedures, and readiness evidence are captured and maintained.

Support achievement of project activation milestones and successful operational commencement.
