Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling tendering and cost estimation activities for road construction projects, with a strong focus on asphalt production, material costing, and project pricing.

The role requires sound technical knowledge, strong analytical skills, and effective coordination with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure accurate and competitive project bids.

Key Responsibilities

Tendering & Estimation

Review project drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and scope of work.

Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for asphalt and road works.

Calculate material, labour, fuel, equipment, and asphalt production costs.

Obtain, review, and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.

Costing & Coordination

Calculate asphalt plant production costs on a per-tonne and per-square-metre basis.

Estimate transportation, plant operations, and machinery utilization costs.

Prepare cost analyses, pricing breakdowns, and project profitability projections.

Monitor market rates and update cost databases accordingly.

Coordinate with Operations, Procurement, Finance, and QA/QC teams to ensure accurate costing.

Documentation & Support

Prepare commercial quotations, pricing schedules, and tender submissions.

Maintain estimation records, cost databases, and tender documentation.

Track tender outcomes and support continuous improvement in estimation practices.

Assist project teams with cost planning, variations, and additional work assessments.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.

3+ years of relevant experience in asphalt estimation and road construction projects.

UAE experience in road and infrastructure projects is preferred.

Strong understanding of asphalt production, batching plants, and paving operations.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.

Proficiency in MS Excel and cost estimation tools.

Strong analytical, numerical, and commercial awareness.

Good communication and coordination skills.

What’s the role?

As a Dynatrace Solution Engineer, you will be a key member of the Dynatrace sales engine, responsible for providing excellent technical support to the sales team across Dubai and South Africa. You will be the expert on Dynatrace and all facets of Advanced Observability. Responsibilities

Evangelize Dynatrace’s product offerings during international trade shows and at key customer account meetings to promote new and expanded business.

Partner with sales representatives to identify new sales opportunities as well as incremental sales opportunities within existing accounts.

As part of the solution engineering team participate in proof of concept (PoC) creation and cloud architecture discussions, leading the technical solution evaluation portion in support of sales opportunities either directly or through channel partners for multiple POCs.

Present Dynatrace’s vision to our customers C-suite executives.

Provide technical guidance in the Discovery, Solution Evaluation, and Solution Proposal stages of the opportunity sales cycle.
