We are urgently looking for an experienced Cost Engineer with proven TAQA Substation project experience, specializing in Civil, Structural & Building Works, to join our team in the UAE.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, quantity takeoffs and tender pricing for TAQA substation projects.
Estimate civil and building works, including control buildings, GIS buildings, switchgear buildings, foundations and associated infrastructure.
Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, tender documents and project requirements.
Analyze material, labor, equipment and subcontractor costs.
Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
Prepare cost breakdowns, budget forecasts and tender submissions.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement and project teams to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
🔹 Mandatory Requirements
✅ Direct TAQA Substation Project Experience in the UAE – MUST HAVE
✅ Substation Civil & Building Works Experience – MUST HAVE
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in cost estimation, quantity surveying or tendering.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
Strong knowledge of substation buildings, concrete structures, foundations, architectural finishes and civil infrastructure.
Proven experience in BOQ preparation, quantity takeoffs, cost estimation and tender pricing.
Familiarity with TAQA project specifications and UAE construction costs.
Advanced MS Excel skills and strong technical documentation abilities.
UAE EPC contractor experience is highly preferred.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: This position specifically requires TAQA substation civil and building cost estimation experience. Candidates with experience limited to transmission lines, electrical installation or MEP works will not be considered.
