The opportunity

We are seeking an innovative, creative and experienced Backend Engineer to build the structure of advanced software applications by writing flawless business logic, server scripts and APIs. You’ll design, build and test complex programs and integration services, contribute to architecture discussions, and develop optimal solutions that enhance user experience while maximising speed, scalability and technical feasibility. Your performance will be measured by cost savings achieved, reduction in productivity loss, processes optimised, defect-free delivery, adherence to policies, procedures and quality standards, and customer NPS.

Your key responsibilities

Create and communicate multiple design views to identify and balance the concerns of all stakeholders of software design, covering both functional and non-functional requirements

Model or simulate the behaviour of proposed software to enable approval by stakeholders and facilitate effective construction of the software

Design, code, verify, test, document, amend and re-factor complex programs/scripts and integration software services

Define and manage scoping, requirement definition and prioritisation activities for small-scale changes, and assist with more complex change initiatives

Follow agreed standards and apply appropriate techniques to elicit and document detailed requirements

Contribute to the selection of an appropriate software development approach, whether predictive (plan-driven) or adaptive (iterative/agile)

Design test cases and test scripts mapped to pre-determined criteria, clearly recording and reporting outcomes

Develop and maintain specialist knowledge of database and data warehouse concepts, design principles, architecture, software and facilities

Develop optimal solutions to enhance user experience, optimising for maximum speed, scalability and technical feasibility

Participate in architecture discussions to gain a detailed understanding of the complete architecture of a product and its functionalities

Build reusable code and libraries for future use

What we’re looking for

(a) Required skills / qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

At least 2 years of experience in Java Spring Boot and microservices development

Proficiency in working with message queues such as AMQ, RabbitMQ or Kafka

Proven experience in developing RESTful APIs

Proficiency in understanding data, entity relationships, structured and unstructured data, and SQL and NoSQL databases; familiarity with Elasticsearch is preferred

Practical experience in multithreading and concurrency programming

Familiarity with Maven, UNIX/Linux and shell scripting

JOB PURPOSE:

Enforce proper compliance to management strategy for all lifting Inspections and operations in Base This includes inspection of all lifted equipment and ensures and all lifting operation are carried out in controlled manner with full compliance to ADNOC HSE-PSW-CP19 standards

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Ensure implementation of in-house lifting standards / code of practices and procedures at MOSB as part of the lifting management strategy, document, and other approved Standards.

Ensure that register of all company lifting equipment and lifting tackles & accessories are updated with respect to certification, maintenance, colour codes etc.

Ensure that adequate Pre trip inspections are being carried out on cargo carrying units / baskets etc and allied lifting equipment for safe cargo lifting operation and to ensure that all cargo units are safe to lift and seaworthy for sailing.

Maintain relevant data and generate reports as and when required regarding inspection details, statistics, and other related activities.

Carryout inspection of Backloaded non-compliant Cargo from offshore Location. And provide safe cargo handling solutions

Ensure non routine cargo lifting operation are carried out in controlled manner with full compliance to Adnoc HSE standards.

Minimum Qualification

Role:Job Description

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer – Vertical Transportation (VT) with a strong background in the lift and escalator industry, and prior experience in vertical transportation consultancy roles. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and demonstrable expertise in lift traffic simulation and lift and escalator system design.

The successful candidate must be fully conversant with the EN 81 suite of codes, have a working knowledge of the ASME series of codes, and demonstrate a thorough understanding of local Middle East building codes.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing vertical transportation design concepts, including the calculation of the number, size, and speed of lifts for a wide variety of building types. You will also be expected to prepare design stage reports, drawings, and technical specifications, and participate in client and design team meetings as required.

Responsibilities

Advanced knowledge and experience in utilizing lift traffic design software (Elevate), CAD, BIM, Revit, Microsoft Office suite of programs.

To produce efficient VT solutions for the client.

Responsible for producing technical reports to illustrate the design to the client and his representatives.

Responsible for attending and coordinating meetings with the project design team, VT supplier, and specialist subcontractors to ensure that the intended design is appropriately implemented.

Liaison and coordination with all applicable Local Authority Departments and stakeholders to obtain approval at all stages of the project.

Role:Role Purpose To manage HVAC engineering deliverables on assigned Innovo MEP projects, coordinating design, procurement, and installation activities for the HVAC scope.

Key Accountabilities Technical Management

Review HVAC shop drawings, submittals, and method statements for assigned project scope.

Verify HVAC equipment selections and ductwork design comply with project specifications.

Coordination

Coordinate HVAC model updates with the BIM team and resolve clashes with other disciplines.

Liaise with electrical and BMS teams on equipment power and controls interfaces.

Site Support

Support site teams with HVAC installation queries and inspection coordination.

Attend site walks to verify HVAC installation matches coordinated drawings and specifications.

Progress Reporting

Track and report HVAC scope progress against the project programme.

Highlight schedule risks and proposed mitigation measures to the Construction Manager HVAC.

Material & Procurement Support

Review HVAC material submittals for compliance before procurement approval.

Coordinate with Procurement to track delivery of chillers, AHUs, and ductwork against programme.

Introduce modern tools, technologies and processes that improve efficiency and transparency.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field

5–8 years of experience in HVAC works within construction / MEP projects

Minimum 2–3 years in a project engineering role

Prior experience in UAE projects is required

Knowledge of UAE authority requirements (DM, DEWA, Estidama, Trakhees, etc.)
